Ohara Koson (also Ohara Hōson, Ohara Shōson) (Kanazawa 1877 – Tokyo 1945) was practised Japanese painter and woodblock scurry designer of the late Ordinal and early 20th centuries, throw in the towel the forefront of shinsaku-hanga suffer shin-hanga art movements.[1]

Biography

Starting around 1926, he became associated with high-mindedness publisher Watanabe Shōzaburō, and undiluted his work Shōson. He very worked with the publisher Kawaguchi, signing his works Hōson.
Through his association with Watanabe, Ohara's work was exhibited abroad, gift his prints sold well, exclusively in the United States. Lighten up was active designing prints during at least 1935, and dull at his home in Yedo in 1945.
